Event Details

Menlo Park Toastmasters annual Table Topics Contest for impromptu speeches. Contestants are given a topic and immediately have to stand up and speak on it for 1-2 minutes. Club members evaluate each speaker and vote for the best. To be eligible you must be a member of Menlo Park Toastmasters. We have a special promotional rate of $20 for you to join in February and March. Membership is subject to the current members voting you in. If you are not voted in we will refund your money - less the online registration processing fees. You can visit our club on the Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm (room C12 Menlo Park Presbyterian Church) as a guest before the contest date to understand the contest rules and have a practice session.

Menlo Park Toastmasters is an award winning public speaking club. Peer evaluation helps members speak clearly and persuasively to enhance their professional, personal and political presence. Members learn both impromptu speaking skills and prepared speech creation in a friendly environment. We meet every Wednesday evening, except around holidays at 7:30 pm in a classroom at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. This is an award winning club focused on helping members improve their public speaking for business, pleasure and family events. Guests are invited to attend events free.
